In Portugal, Raiz is HighScope Portugal Association’s model school and works closely with the HighScope Foundation, which develops the HighScope curriculum. Raiz is part of the international network of HighScope schools.

Raiz is concerned with food waste, so whenever food is left over, even at our parties, Raiz relies on Refood for its reuse.

Caselas Futebol Clube

Physical Education classes are mostly held in the Caselas Futebol Clube sports hall and its outdoor field so that children can enjoy the complementarity of these two spaces. The Raiz bus ensures door-to-door transportation.

The Inventors

Raiz has a daily partnership on its premises with The Inventors – a school program that introduces children to 21^st century skills and tools. The program is developed on a project basis where students are given the freedom to explore and create. Programming, electronics, robotics, design, rapid prototyping tools, animation, and more are covered.

Joaquim Chaves Health Club

Physical exercise is, nowadays, one of the most decisive activities to prevent a wide range of diseases and other constraints to the proper functioning of the human body. Raiz has established a protocol with Joaquim Chaves Health Club that provides employees, parents, and students with the practice of physical exercise in optimal conditions. We trust the facilities’ quality and specificity for the different types of classes, the duly qualified instructors who direct all types of activities, and the quality of the environment that characterizes the entire operation at JCHC.

OS BELENENSES (BASKETBALL)

As a sponsor of the mini-basketball team of Os Belenenses, Raiz is particularly fond of this sport. In addition, our students can practice basketball at this club and participate in championships.

Kids and Nits

Kids and Nits and Goodbye Lice! ® is an international network of Pediculosis Clinics focused on eliminating head lice and nits from children and adults’ heads. This partnership brings very advantageous discounts for Raiz’s families and the diagnosis, by specialized technicians, at the school.
