Raiz places special emphasis on learning music and the power of music in a child’s development.
The pedagogical director of Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa is the coordinator of Music at Raiz. With teachers and educators, she carefully chooses the songs and the various musical styles available at the school.

From an early age, children are exposed to classical music, they do music activities, and educators sing to and with the children. Our radio does not play to drown out the noise of the children; music has its place and its time.
Students play instruments, learn to understand an orchestra, and identify the instruments, so the desire to go to concerts comes naturally in their development.
In addition, our music classes regularly take place outside, where students practice, rehearse, and share with their peers.
Students play flute, drums, guitar, saxophone, transverse flute, clarinet, according to their age, interest, and availability.
